Punch Drunk Wonderland

Welcome to the PDW Offseason!

The dark days have fallen, Punch Drunkards.  It’s the fantasy offseason.  Fortunately, we still have a few more weeks of NFL Playoffs and the Super Bowl to keep the juices flowing before the real withdrawals start kickin’ in.

Fortunately, with the new Keeper setup we are going with we’re going to have something to agonize over in the offseason.  The first important step will be to let me, The Commish, know that you’ll be returning.  Since we’re doing Keepers I’ll need to know asap if you’re coming back.  Next, start thinking about your Keepers.  We’ll be keeping one player for next season with the potential to move to three Keepers after that.  A single Keeper player may be kept on one manager’s roster for up to three seasons (meaning a player may be kept TWICE).  The first Keeper Year a player’s value will be $5 on top of his previous draft value, and the second Keeper Year a player’s value will be $15 on top of his previous year’s value (see the PDW Official Rules for more details and 2010-11 PDW Auction Draft Summary for draft values).  You have the entire offseason to follow the status of your players, and you will need to specify your Keeper(s) one week before the Draft Date (I’ll give this out later).

Thanks for another fun year and enjoy the offseason.

~The Commish
