Week 11 Start ‘Em/Sit ‘Em – RBs

Each week The Kommish will be doing top 5 start/sit advice by position.

RB

Marcel Reece (Raiders)

With McFadden out and Goodson still sporting the walking boot it looks like Reece will be getting the nod in Week 11 for the Raiders. They will be facing a Saints D that is ranked 31st against the run and gives up an average of 22.1 fantasy points to running backs.

Jamaal Charles (Chiefs)

Charles seemed to show no ill effects from the neck injury in Week 10, and that’s a good sign. Going into Week 11 the Chiefs will be facing the Bengals who are fairly porous versus the run. Cincinnati is giving up an average of 17.7 points to RBs thusfar this season.

LaRod Stephens-Howling (Cardinals)

The running game isn’t exactly strong for Arizona following their multiple injuries to features backs, but they face a decent matchup this week. Stephens-Howling will get the starting nod against a Falcons team that is giving up an average of 18.0 points to running backs. Of course, there’s always a chance that Atlanta could jump out early and render any Arizona running game useless. But, the matchup is good.

Steven Jackson (Rams)

The Rams will be facing a questionable Jets D in Week 11. Gang green has given up an average of 17.9 fantasy points to opposing running backs. This bodes well for Steven Jackson this week.

Doug Martin (Bucs)

He’s a must start anyway at this point. However, he does happen to have a favorable matchup in Week 11. Martin and the Bucs will be facing a Carolina defense that has struggled against the run. The Panthers are giving up an average of 18.0 fantasy points per game to opposing running backs.

RB

Matt Forte (Bears)

Forte has been solid in 2012, but he faces a nightmare matchup in Week 11 as the Bears face the 49ers. San Francisco is ranked #1 versus the run and are giving up a meager 9.8 points per week to running backs.

Frank Gore (49ers)

Who knows what will happen when the two best defenses in the league face each other. It’s safe to say that any offense might be hard to come by. Gore and the Niners face a 2nd ranked Chicago run defense that is only giving up an average of 10.3 fantasy points to opposing running backs this season.

Rashad Jennings (Jaguars)

The Jags are facing the Texans in Week 11, and that does not bod well for their already struggling offense. Jennings will be attempting to run against a stout Houston D that has been giving up an average of 10.2 points to RBs.

Alex Green (Packers)

The Pack will be facing the Lions in Week 11. Alex Green has struggled at times filling in for injured Cedric Benson, and this week could be another one of those tough weeks. He will be facing a Lions defense that is only giving up an average of 12.2 points to running backs.

Michael Turner (Falcons)

Turner has been a fairly silent producer in 2012, and going into Week 11 he doesn’t have a particularly strong matchup. Atlanta will be facing an Arizona defense that is giving up an average of 14.0 points to opposing RBs.
