Week 14 Start ‘Em/Sit ‘Em – RBs

Each week The Kommish will be giving start/sit advice by position. Check back weekly for updates.

Start ‘Em

Knowshon Moreno (Broncos @ Raiders)

There are two reason to start Knowshon in Week 14. First, the Raiders are giving up the most fantasy points to opposing RBs in the NFL. Second, the Broncos are likely going to jump out early and will be running the ball a lot in the 2nd half.

Ahmad Bradshaw (Giants v. Saints)

The Saints are giving up the 2nd most fantasy points to running backs in 2012. While Bradshaw has been shaky and oft injured this season, he’s a smart start versus a sub par New Orleans defense.

Steven Jackson (Rams @ Bills)

Jackson may be getting long in the tooth, but he still has some go left. He has a very favorable matchup in Week 14 as the Rams are facing a Bills defense that is giving up an average of 21.3 fantasy points to RBs.

Vick Ballard (Colts v. Titans)

The Colts run game hasn’t been much to shake a stick at this season. However, the combination of Donald Brown being definitively ruled out and a favorable matchup should work out for Ballard. Tennessee is giving up the 4th most fantasy points to RBs this year.

Sit ‘Em

Reggie Bush (Dolphins @ 49ers)

Bush was somewhat resurgent last week in that he had more carries and more production than he’d had in awhile. This week, however, the Dolphins will be facing a San Francisco defense that is ranked #1 versus the run. Steer clear of the Miami backfield.

Beanie Wells (Cardinals @ Seahawks)

Wells looked terrible in Week 13, and it isn’t going to get any better this week. In addition to his continued injury woes, Wells and the Cardinals will be facing Seattles tough defense. The Seahawks are only giving up an average of 13.3 fantasy points to opposing running backs.

Ryan Mathews (Chargers @ Steelers)

The Chargers are looking at a rough day against the Steelers this week. Pittsburgh is ranked 10th in the league versus RBs and is giving up just 13.8 fantasy points per week to opposing backs.

Alex Green (Packers v. Lions)

With Starks out Green will be getting the majority of carries for the Pack. That said, they don’t seems too comfortable with their backfield situation as they just resigned Ryan Grant. Look for Green to struggle against a Lions defense that is only giving up an average of 14.5 points to RBs.
