Start ‘Em

Jacob Tamme (Broncos @ Raiders)

Oakland is giving up the 6th most points to tight ends this season. Couple that with the high target count that Tamme has been seeing from Peyton Manning, and it’s a recipe for success.

Jared Cook (Titans @ Colts)

Cook saw his most target of the season in Week 13. Additionally, he was in on over 3/4 of the Titans offensive plays. Unfortunately, the on field time and targets haven’t really translated to much of anything yet for the disgruntled tight end. Tennessee will be in Indianapolis in Week 14, and this is as good of a chance as Cook will likely see in coming weeks. The Colts are giving up the 3rd most points to opposing tight ends this season.

Owen Daniels (Texans @ Patriots)

There stands to be a shootout in New England in Week 14. That’s a good thing if you’re any offensive player for either team. The patriots secondary has been terrible this season, and they are also giving up the 4th most points to opposing tight ends. Daniels stands to do well this week.

Sit ‘Em

Anthony Fasano (Dolphins @ 49ers)

Fasano has been injured largely unproductive in 2012 anyway. Nevertheless, the Dolphins are facing a Niner defense that is only giving up an average of 5.3 fantasy points to TEs. Keep him warming the bench in Week 14.

Antonio Gates (Chargers @ Steelers)

Picking up on the trend? There are a lot of Steelers offensive players showing up on the “Sit ‘Em” list. Bad matchups all around. Pittsburgh is giving up the fewest fantasy points to tight ends this season.

Jermaine Gresham (Bengals v. Cowboys)

The Cowboys defense hasn’t been playing the pass game very well in the least few weeks. However, they are only allowing 6.0 fantasy points per game to opposing tight ends. Not too shabby.
