Week 17 Start of the Week – C.J. Spiller

Start of the week, C.J. Spiller, Buffalo Bills, Week 17Each week The Kommish will look at the various matchups across the league and come up with a recommendation for “Start of the Week”. Since The Kommish is a fantasy genius (not really) you should take this as the surest thing possible in a given week. I don’t think “surest” is a word, but this Start of the Week is the real deal regardless.

C.J. Spiller has shown this season that he can be an elite NFL running back. While his production has seen some lulls and he’s had to share some time with teammate Fred Jackson, Spiller has still had a great season. Now that Jackson is on the IR Spiller finds himself carrying the full workload, and he’s been excellent.

Spiller recently put up back to back 100 yard rushing games plus he has scored 14+ fantasy points in 3 of the last 4 weeks. In Week 17 he and the Bills will be facing the reeling New York Jets. NYJ is giving up an average of 16.7 fantasy points per week to opposing RBs, and in their last meeting Spiller piled on 23.4 points. This is a great matchup and Spiller should have a good week.
