Key Inactive Players for Week 3

Rice-RayA little over one hour until the Sunday games get started for Week 3, and there are a few key inactives.  Obviously, the resources you want are on-the-spot scoopsters like @AdamShefter and @mortreport as well as any of the reliable beat reporters you’re used to searching out. Here’s a look at the key players that are out today.

Ray Rice (RB, Ravens)

This was expected, but the team has made it official this morning. Bernard Pierce is a good handcuff start.

Reggie Bush (RB, Lions)

This one was a bit a surprise, but he has been working through a knee sprain. With Bush out, Joique Bell becomes more of a fantasy option

Jacoby Jones (WR, Ravens)

Jones is still out for the Ravens and that means Marlon Brown is still a decent fantasy option.

Eddie Lacy (RB, Packers)

As expected, Lacy is out in Week 3. James Starks becomes a decent play at RB, but don’t expect him to produce against the Bengals defense with the success he saw in Week 2.

Shonn Greene (RB, Titans)

The clear #2 back in Tennessee has been Greene, but with him out in Week 3 you’ll want to ride CJ a bit harder. Of course, this also means Jackie Battle will likely be getting some more carries PLUS vulturing goal line carries.

Morgan Burnett (S, Packers) & Casey Hayward (CB, Packers)

For the IDP folks out there, there are some key Packers players that remain out in Week 3.
