Week 12 IDP Waiver Wire Targets

Paul WorrilowThe fantasy regular season is almost over, and the playoffs are looming. Here’s a look at some key IDPs to target on the Week 12 waiver wire to bolster your playoff run.  Good luck down the stretch!

Paul Worrilow (LB, Falcons)

Worrilow is a repeat from last week, but he’s likely still available in many leagues. While he didn’t produce much early in the season, he’s come on late tallying 54 tackles in the last three weeks. Those are ridiculous numbers. It seems Weatherspoon’s return has done nothing to diminish his production, and at this point he’s a must have IDP.

Vincent Rey (LB, Bengals)

Rey is also a repeat, so take the hint. After Rey Maualuga was injured, Vincent Rey has come on strong. This guy is looking like a late season diamond in the rough for your IDP leagues. In the last two weeks he’s amassed 27 tackles and 3 sacks. You have to pick him up if he’s available in your league.

Jeff Tarpinian (LB, Texans)

Tarpinian was picked up to help an ailing defense in Houston, and he looked decent in Week 11 as he led the team with 11 total tackles. Assuming he can continue solid production, he could remain in a starting position for the rest of the Texans’ tumultuous season. He could be worth an add.

Jason Worilds (LB, Steelers)

Worilds had another sack in Week 11 to bring his season total to 4.  Worilds isn’t going to produce big numbers every week but he’s good for 4 to 8 tackles each week and has sack potential. He could be of use in a deep all IDP leagues.

Jairus Byrd (S, Bills)

Byrd finally made a statistical appearance after a slow return from injury for Buffalo. In Week 11 he had 4 tackles, 1 sack, and 2 interceptions. This may not signify that Byrd is indeed “back” to his old self, but it’s nice to see positive production. He’s worth watching, and could be a viable addition down the stretch.

Zack Bowman (CB, Bears)

Bowman is starting after the loss of Charles Tillman in Chicago. He had a decent first outing racking up 9 total tackes (1 for a loss). He was guilty of numerous penalties in Week 11, so it’s worth noting whether or not his play time suffers as a result. He could be a decent DB addition assuming he stays in the same role.
