Week 15 Standard & PPR Waiver Wire Targets

Toby GerhartMost fantasy leagues are either in their second round or championships in Week 15. It’s put up or go home at this point. There could still be some options out there on the waiver wire, and with some Week 14 injuries comes some sly possibilities for emergency additions. Here’s a look at some Week 15 waiver wire options. Good luck!

Toby Gerhart (RB, Vikings)

Adrian Peterson’s injury status is unclear, so the smart move is making sure you have Gerhart on your roster. The injury may not end his season, but there’s a fairly decent chance he misses some time. For fantasy owners in their respective playoffs that means emergency measures. Gerhart is a good option.

Joique Bell (RB, Lions)

Reggie Bush aggravated an existing calf injury in in Week 14 and his status going into Week 15 is unclear. If Bush can’t go, Bell is a more than suitable replacement and should be played. He’s showed flashes of excellence when needed this season.

Michael Crabtree (WR, 49ers)

Crabtree is back in the lineup for San Francisco and his presence is very much needed. He had 4 catches for 4 yards in Week 14, but it was a good sign that he saw 8 targets. That offense could really start to heat up with him back on the field. He’s probably been stashed on a roster all season, but you have to grab him if he’s still out there.

Rod Streater (WR, Raiders)

Streater has been QB Matt McGloin’s favorite target since he’s stepped into the starting role. With fellow WR Denarius Moore fighting through injury, Streater is the top option for the Raiders. He’s not going to blow the roof off, but he’s been good for 70+ yards and a touchdown for multiple weeks running.

Cordarelle Patterson (WR, Vikings)

Patterson is seeing more and more involvement in the offense for Minnesota and it’s very likely they’ll try more things with him at the tail end of lost season. In Week 14 he had 5 catches for 141 yards and a touchdown. He’s a serious threat if they can work him into the offense and if he can continue to evolve. Nice end of season pick-up and potential sleeper keeper option.

Da’Rick Rogers (WR, Colts)

Looking for an end of season flyer? Indianapolis is still strongly to find receiver options opposite T.Y. Hilton. In Week 14 Rogers certainly showed that he could find a fit as he had 6 catches on 9 targets for 107 yards and 2 touchdowns. With the AFC South locked up the Colts may be experimenting in the last few weeks of the season with Rogers and LaVon Brazill. Rogers is guaranteed not to have tons of weeks like this, but he could be worth a roll of the dice as a roster addition.

Dennis Pitta (TE, Ravens)

I’ve been mentioning for a few weeks that Pitta’s return was looming and it’s time to think about grabbing him. He’s back and now’s the time if he’s still available. He had 6 receptions for 48 yards and a touchdown in his Week 14 return. If he’s healthy he’s going to be a top target of QB Joe Flacco, and he’s worth playing.
