Mr. Wendy’s Look Back at Week 11

Each week @mr_wendy will be taking a look back at the week that was in the NFL. Here’s a look back at Week 11.

 1. The Buffalo Bills QB situation.

Is Kyle Orton going to be your guy for the next few years? Trading away their 2015 1st round pick they better hope so. At this point they know what they have in Orton. Why not let their young QB E J Manuel back in and finish the season. They really could use this time to let him develop and grow with his young weapons. If EJ Manuel  is not their franchise QB then where are they? I’ll tell you where…they will have a new coach and I’m guessing a new GM in town to fix the mess.

2. Clay Matthews LB Green bay.

We have seen him used as an ILB the last 2 weeks. Week 10 he was in the middle, mostly in their Nickel defense. Week 10 he had 9 solo 2 for a loss and 2 assists. Week 11, 4 solo, 1 for a loss and 1 assist. What will we see week 12 against Minnesota? Let’s just agree the guy can play and needs to be in your lineup.

3.  Coby Fleener TE Indy.

It was good to see him have a great game [7 catches on 7 targets for 144 yards]. With Dwayne Allen going down with an injury Coby Fleener took advantage. Indy signed TE Weslye Saunders so I’m thinking Indy is planning on Allen sitting this week. If this is the case, I really like Coby Fleener this week.

4. New England’s running backs.

The Patriots switch their game plan weekly to attack their opponent’s weakness. The weather is not always the best down the stretch their. My thought is Jonas Grey will be needed to control clock and move the ball in the bad weather. He is owned in all my leagues, but he is someone I would look for an add in all leagues.

5. Chris Borland LB San Francisco.

Chris-Borland-2014-02This kid is a stud. What will the niners do when they have all of their stud LB’s healthy? Borland was one of my favorite ILB coming into the draft. Out of Wisconsin and drafted with pick 77 in the 3rd round I was hoping he would have gone to a team where he could play quickly. The wait was worth it as he is blowing it up on the field for us in fantasy.

6. Back to the Buffalo Bills.

WR Chris Hogan has been making some noise over the last two weeks. 12 catches for 131 yards and a TD.  If you looking for a fill in you can look here.

My week 11 MVP Players:

QB Andy Dalton (Cincinnati Bengals) – He was 16 of 22 for 220 yards and three TD’s. Andy had an impressive 143.9 passer rating.

RB Le’Veon Bell (Pittsburgh Steelers) – 33 carries for 204 yards and a score and adding 2 catches on 4 targets for 18 yards.

WR Mike Evans (Tampa Bay Bucs) – 7 catches for 209 yards, 2 TD’s! Not a bad day at all for Mike Evans.

TE Coby Fleener (Indianapolis Colts) – Wowed us with 7 catches for 144 yards.

PK Greg Zuerlein (St. Louis Rams) – Can’t ignore 5 FG games.

PN Mike Scifres (San Diego Chargers) – Landing 5 punts on 9 total punts inside the 20 helped some fantasy teams I’m sure.

DT Gerald McCoy (Tampa Bay Bucs) – Gave us IDP guys 3 tackles, 1 for a loss and 1 assist along with the big sack and a half performance against Washington.

DE Mario Williams (Buffalo Bills) – Mario just dug out Jim Kelly earlier today but thats not what landed him MVP honors. 3.5 sacks and 4 tackles with 3 for a loss gives him the honor.

LB Chris Borland (San Francisco 49ers) –  The young stud had 9 solo tackles with 2 INT’s and 3 passes defended. BIG GAME!

CB Joe Haden (Cleveland Browns) – 10 tackles! 1 INT. Joe Haden was a game changer.

S  Earl Thomas (Seattle Seahawks) – 10 tackles and 2 forced fumbles.

Good luck on your upcoming games this week.
