Week 15 Waiver Wire Targets

It’s Week 15 and if you’re reading this, then you’ve likely moved on to the semi-final round of your fantasy playoffs. Congrats! Hopefully you have a rock solid lineup for this week, but just in case here’s a look at some players to target on the Week 15 waiver wire. Good luck!

Johnny Manziel (QB, Cleveland Browns)

Ok, so Week 14 didn’t see Johnny Football get a start for the Browns. Hoyer was still awful. Again. That means it’s Manziel time in Cleveland going into Week 15. As of Monday coach Mike Pettine hadn’t said as such, but at this point we have to assume Manziel is going to get his opportunity this week. You can’t do much worse than what Hoyer has done in the last five weeks.

Chris Johnson (RB, New York Jets)

Looking for a matchup play? Johnson has seen increased touches and production in the Jets time share in recent weeks, and Week 15 will give him a chance to stick it to his former team. The Titans got trampled by the Giants run game in Week 14 and they’ve struggled in run defense of late. Johnson could be an interesting spot play this week.

Kerwynn Williams (RB, Arizona Cardinals)

Arizona will be going with a committee approach in their run game and Stepfan Taylor will be getting the start in Week 15. That said, Williams saw 19 carries last week and had decent production. If they wind up going with the “hot hand”, then Williams could be the back to play.

Dan Herron (RB, Indianapolis Colts)

Another repeat but still a worthwhile addition. Herron is getting the better opportunities in the Indianapolis run game and is a decent start going forward. He didn’t blow up the charts in Week 14, but he could produce better in the team’s attempt to close out the division in Week 15 against Houston.

Jonathan Stewart (RB, Carolina Panthers)

With DeAngelo Williams sidelined, Stewart so extra time and big production as he put up 20 carries for 155 yards and a touchdown in Week 14. The once potent Panthers run game has been a disaster this season, but last week can give owners some hope. Stewart could be a nice addition and play in Week 15 assuming Williams remains out. DeAngelo is currently listed as day-to-day, so his status will be worth watching as the week goes on.

Andre Williams (RB, New York Giants)

Williams hasn’t been very productive of late as he’s been filling in for Rashad Jennings, but he looked good in Week 14. The team seems to be working Jennings back slowly as he started, but didn’t see the majority of carries. It will be a crap shoot going into Week 15, but I expect Williams to see the better opportunities.

Ben Tate (RB, Minnesota Vikings)

The running game is hurting in Minnesota and it’s on a matter of time before Tate starts seeing usage with his new team. He’s a speculative move at this point, but he really is the best thing they have right now with McKinnon and AP out.

Donte Moncrief (WR, Indianapolis Colts)

With Reggie Wayne likely out for the season with a torn triceps, Moncrief is going to see a big jump in targets and responsibility in the offense. While his Week 14 numbers were a let down after a monster previous week, look for Moncrief to have a nice week in Week 15. The rookie is emerging as a real playmaker for the Colts.

Jared Cook (TE, St. Louis Rams)

Cook is coming off a nice Week 15 performance and could be a nice addition if you need TE help. Cook hasn’t had much in the way of touchdowns this season, but he did score against Arizona in their previous matchup.
