Fantasy Look Back: Week 5 MVP’s

Each week John Orr will be taking a look back at the fantasy week that was with a focus on fantasy stars that stood out. Here’s a look at Week 5 fantasy MVPs.

QB Josh McCown CLE

Threw for 457 yards 2 touchdowns. Great play last week. He threw it 51 times! Week 6 will be rough agaisnt Denver.

RB Doug Martin TBB

24 rushes brought 123 yards. The 2 touchdowns was what brought him into the spotlight. Bye week now.

WR Julian Edelman NEP

Lowest amount of catches all season. Still delivered 120 yards on his 4 catches and had a touchdown.

TE Gary Barnidge CLE

8 catches 139 yards and a touchdown. This old tight end has been HOT!

KR Jeremy Ross BAL

21 punt return yards and 136 kick off return yards. Big play bonus with a long return over 40 yards.

PK Caleb Sturgis PHI

4 FG game. If you love kickers then you enjoyed that game.

PN Jordan Berry PIT

One of the biggest plays in football for me is a punt inside the 20. He had 6 of them! Big points.

DT Bennie Logan PHI

4 tackles, 3 for a loss, and 1 sack. Monster of a day.

DE Fletcher Cox PHI

Staying with the Eagles here. SIX sacks! three tackles were nice but the 2 forced fumbles and 1 recovery blew the lid off his scoring.

LB Bobby Wagner SEA

Injury alert here. Check on him this week.
5 tackles. 1 pass defended. 2 assists and a 23 yard TD! BAM!

CB Robert Alford ATL

He had 2 tackles…not enough for our MVP honor though. TWO INT’s with the big 59 yard one returned for a TOUCHDOWN!

S Tony Jefferson ARI

2 forced fumbles. 1 pass defensed. 4 assists and 8 tackles on the day.

This is my week 5 MVP list. Hopefully you started most or some and didn’t end up against most of these guys last week.
