Emerging Fantasy IDPs for Week 3

We’re 2 weeks into the 2017 season and we’ve seen some non-existent production from supposed IDP studs and we’ve had some unexpected gems emerge. Here’s a look at some emerging fantasy IDPs to target going into Week 3.

Jatavis Brown (LB, L.A. Chargers)

It’s not fair to say Brown was under the radar as many expected him to show up on the IDP map in his second NFL season. He’s currently leading the league in tackles (26) after two games, and is quickly becoming a top tier IDP option. He’s still available in many IDP leagues, but won’t be for long.

Ramon Humber (LB, Buffalo Bills)

Humber has been an unexpected surprise after two weeks in the 2017 season. He’s been in on nearly all defensive snaps for the Bills and is currently sitting number 2 on the league’s tackle chart at 23 tackles through two games. He’s still available in most leagues.

B.J. Goodson (LB, New York Giants)

Goodson put up a monstrous 18 tackles in Week 1, but he was out in Week 2 due to a leg injury. He’s really the best thing goin’ in terms of linebackers for the Giants. Keep an eye on his injury status, but he’s worth the add if he’s active.

Demario Davis (LB, New York Jets)

IDP folks were up on Davis a few years back, but he’s largely not emerged as expected. That said, he really has a chance to shine this season for the Jets with David Harris gone. Largely ignored in IDP drafts, Davis is a great option to pick up after tallying a total of 20 tackles in his first two games of the 2017 season.

Kendell Beckwith (LB, Tampa Bay Bucs)

With Kwon Alexander knocked out of the Bucs’ Week 2 game, Beckwith took over middle linebacker duties and was in on 91% of the defensive snaps. He put up 5 tackles (2 for loss) and a pass defensed. If Kwon misses any more time, Beckwith has great potential going forward.

DeMarcus Lawrence (DE, Dallas Cowboys)

Lawrence was a bust due to suspension last season, but he’s come into 2017 hot for the Cowboys. In two games he’s tallied 12 tackles, 4 sacks, and a forced fumble. He could be a big addition if you need D-Lineman.
