IDP Woes: Broncos LB Danny Trevathan out 6-8 weeks with fractured knee
- Updated: August 15, 2014
If you’re a top 15 linebacker, you’d better look out. The hits kept coming Wednesday as Denver Broncos linebacker Danny Trevathan suffered a fractured knee that will put him out for 6 to 8 weeks. Trevathan was the team’s leading tackler in 2013 and was a key piece in a defense that struggled at times.
Trevathan was the #12 fantasy linebacker in 2013 and he was poised to be a top producer for the 2014 season. I had him ranked as the #12 linebacker for the upcoming season prior to the injury. He now joins the likes of Navorro Bowman, Tyrann Mathieu, and Jon Beason as IDPs that won’t be an option until after the season has started. Assuming he can get on the field somewhere around the midpoint of the season, Trevathan could be a good value option in IDP drafts if you have room to stash him.
